Easter Update

Back from a short Easter trip to my folks' house. A large time was had by all, but especially by The Boy yesterday at our post-church Easter lunch.

The Piedmont Club had the Easter Bunny present for the meal, and there was Much. Excitement.

Here's the complimentary Polaroid:

Notice the slight Deer In Headlights look. We had dreaded The Boy's reaction upon seeing a giant bobble-headed rabbit, but he wasn't afraid. On the contrary, he chased the poor sap around the restaurant, and even when he was forcibly returned to the table kept yelling, "Hi, Easter Bunny!" at two-minute intervals.

A big day for toddlerdom, indeed.

What is the Piedmont Club? My, so chi chi!

That particular Easter Bunny looks a little....well-loved. The Boy looks adorable as always.

Yeah, that bunny costume's been around the block a few hundred times.

The Piedmont club is located atop the BB&T building, affording a faboo view of Winston-Salem's skyline and the hoi polloi, such as it is.

They put on quite a brunch spread as well--I'm glad mom and dad joined up. Good eatin'! And Atkins friendly (read: lots of tasty meat) to boot!

Interesting. My son was gaga over the Easter Bunny too. Much more interesting that Santa Clause, apparently.

Michael -

Yeah, that's weird. I would've thought that an actual PERSON would be a lot less scary than a giant, silent, antrhopomorphic animal character, but hey! I'm not 2 1/2, so what do I know?
